Model Citizens

When we put a call out in our April 2008 issue, looking for a winner in our first-ever Cover Model Search, we expected to read some great essays and meet some attractive Albuquerqueans. What we didn’t expect was to receive so many entries—and adore so many of them. Many months, meetings, interviews, and test shots later, we found ourselves with a winner: Alma Francisca Sisneros, a fifth-grade teacher. And we found that there were many other candidates that proved to be beautiful inside and out: Jenelle Salazar, Teneé Swingle, Mark Vasconcellos, Lynette Willetto Wilson, Shana Levenson, Angela Baca, Alison Forrester, Erin Muffoletto, and Cizon Melancon are a few of the locals we loved.
